I'm always on the look out for free Hindi movies. I became a big fan when I went out with a group of friends at work. Wow! What a difference. I loved every minute of it.
Indian movies are just spectacular! My friends first treated me to a Bollywood film. Bollywood is the informal name that's been given to the Mumbai-based Hindi language film industry in India. It is really popular, but it just represents a part of the diverse Indian cinema. Most of the Bollywood films are musicals - but while there is a similarity to the musical films of other countrys, these films go far beyond anything I have ever seen. The song and dance numbers are some of the most amazing ever filmed! Be prepared for the setting to change abruptly and the characters instantly changing costumes between song verses. The actors and actresses are all excellent dancers. Most of the singing is done by professional singers and lip-synched in the movie. They often release the soundtrack before the movie is released. Remixed versions (complete with modern beats & rhythms) of older film songs are extremely popular. (And a lot of fun to listen to!) I found a place online to get movies and soundtracks called CDstore.in. They have a lot of movies and cds.
I thought that it would be hard to find theaters showing them, but there are movie theaters all over the world showing a wide range of Indian films. A search of the Yellow Pages directory of Immihelp.com shows over 150 movie theaters in the United States alone showing Indian films and the number is growing! Check their list and see if there is a Indian Movie Theater near you. You will not be disappointed! Most of these theaters show Hindi but the number of theaters offering regional films (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam) are increasing.
I'm lucky to live in the Chicago area where there are eleven theaters (that I know of) that show Indian films. Even so, I have joined the search for the free Hindi movie online! It's rough, I've found little snippets here and there on YouTube.com, but the quality varies and I don't have the patience to view one after another after another. You can, however, find a lot of the songs on YouTube. And those are a lot of fun!
I have found free Hindi movies online but a lot of them are poor quality or they have some TV Channel logo in the corner. I'd like to see the whole movie, please! In the absence of completely free Hindi movies, I have found some good and really inexpensive movie download sites that have a really good choice of films (and they have the MP3 files and games if you want them.) Those sites are keeping me going while I continue my search for elusive free Hindi movies!
